Job summaryThe successful candidate will participate in an ENT specific 1:7 emergency on-call partial shift rota at Core Trainee level.This rota is shared with the specialist ENT advanced nurse practitioners. Although the unit accepts referrals from 3 neighbouring DGH trusts, there is no cross site cover with all admissions being admitted centrally to Aintree; emergencies may be received from Southport, Ormskirk & Whiston Hospitals.Main duties of the jobThe successful candidate will participate in an ENT specific 1:7 emergency on-call partial shift rota at Core Trainee level. This rota is shared with the specialist ENT advanced nurse practitioners and CT1S.   • Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients.

  • Ability to plan strategically and to exercise sound judgements when faced with conflicting pressures.
  • Experience working in a busy tertiary centre and within multi-disciplinary teams (e.g, Thyroid, Head and Neck)

  • Thorough understanding of the principles of clinical audit.
