Residential Discovery Coordinator (Support – Lakes)

The Country Trust

Join The Country Trust as a Residential Discovery Coordinator, bringing the countryside to life
for children who have the fewest opportunities to experience it.

This flexible, self-employed role is perfect for someone who is passionate about connecting
children with the natural world, building relationships with teachers and farmers, and
delivering unforgettable hands-on learning experiences.

  • Flexibility – Work around your own schedule, with seasonal peaks.
  • Impact – Inspire primary-age children to explore, cook, and connect with food and nature.
  • Autonomy & Support – Lead the programme in your region while being part of a
    collaborative team.
  • Outdoor Learning & Adventure – From farm visits to beach explorations, no two days are
    the same!

To succeed in this role you will:

  • Have an infectious enthusiasm for food, farming, and outdoor education.
  • Be confident and experienced leader, especially for children and adults in outdoor
    environments.
  • Have the skills to engage and manage schools, farmers, and local partners.
  • Be highly organised and have the resilience to work independently across public facing
    responsibilities and administrative tasks.
  • Understand and/or have experience of the barriers facing disadvantaged children in
accessing food, farming and countryside experiences.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • The SUPPORT role is delivery only.
