- Deliver engaging and thought-provoking History lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Guide students through GCSE History coursework and exam preparation.
- Incorporate diverse historical perspectives and source analysis into lessons.
- Work alongside the department to enhance the History curriculum with contemporary research.
- Support extracurricular activities such as historical debates, museum visits, and research projects.
- Develop and manage historical research projects.
- Organize and lead historical site visits.
- Maintain and manage History department resources and equipment.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of History department policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in History or a related field.
- PGCE or QTS.
- Experience teaching History up to KS4.
- Ability to participate in school historical events and activities.
- Strong commitment to fostering historical understanding and critical thinking.
