The roleWe are advertising for a full time 2-year Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) position.The PDRA will join an ERC project (UKRI funded) on policy and treatment evaluation on a full time basis. The PDRA will have expertise in econometrics, statistics and data science, preferably with a background in microeconometrics and experience with modern data science techniques.The ERC project, entitled “POTEMU: Policy and Treatment Evaluation under Model Uncertainty”, seeks to extend the scope of existing statistical methods for policy and treatment evaluation by allowing for model misspecification. A central aspect of the project will be to develop estimation methods and software for distributional policy and treatment effectsWhat will you be doing?The post holder will be involved with various parts of the project, and help:

  • Write literature reviews of research on topics relevant to the project.
  • Develop software (R, python) and visualisation tools for estimation methods used and developed in the project.
  • Identify and manage relevant datasets used for empirical applications in the project.
  • Provide support with simulations and data analysis.
  • Contribute to the management and development of team activities.
  • Coordinate and convene meetings of academic collaborators and work with the project team to expand the scope of the project`s methods.
