This course will explore the organization and structure of the Canadian healthcare system to better understand and appreciate the roles and accountabilities of those who use and those who function within it. It will also examine healthcare leadership at all levels and the development of collaborative leadership and project management skills for the adaptable healthcare practitioner needed for today’s dynamic healthcare environment, including understanding quality improvement initiatives aimed to make healthcare more effective, efficient, and safe.Estimated course enrollment: 120Estimated TA support: NoneClass Schedule: Mondays 13:00-16:00Sessional dates of appointment: May 5, 2025 to July 31, 2025Salary:Sessional Lecturer I – $9,457.90 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5 FCE)Sessional Lecturer I Long Term – $9,930.79 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5 FCE)Sessional Lecturer II – $10,121.77 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5 FCE)Sessional Lecturer II Long Term – $10,326.62 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5 FCE)Sessional Lecturer III – $10,362.76 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5 FCE)Sessional Lecturer III Long Term – $10,570.02 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5 FCE)Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail. This course is 0.5 FCE.Minimum Qualifications:MSc Advanced Practice (Radiotherapy and Oncology) or a MSc with specialization or competency in the subject matter of the course and Medical Radiation Sciences.Preferred Qualifications:We are seeking applicants with a proven record of teaching design at the undergraduate or graduate-level. Leadership, management, and health systems knowledge is an asset.Description of Duties:All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a University credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; out-of-class interactions with students via e-mail and office hours; development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and exams; calculation and submission of grades; ordering of all necessary readings; supervision of TAs (if any) assigned to the course.Application Instructions:Applicants should send all of the requested documents below as one PDF file to Department of Radiation Oncology via Ruby Han, Business Manager at by the posted closing date:
