As the Manager, you will be responsible for all shop operations and maintaining a presence at various community events.The Shop is open from 8:00am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with closures consistent with the school calendar. The shop is closed for summer break in July and reopens in August for uniform fittings.Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:Purchase all items to be sold in the shop, includes but is not limited to sourcing all school uniform including prefects, athletic team outfits, uniform accessories, all crested memorabilia and clothing, giftware and seasonal productsResponsible for outfitting students as required, including alterationsSupport the management of the Second Time Shop, run by the Branksome Hall Parents’ AssociationManaging The Shop’s operational budgetRecording and reconciling purchases, inventory, and supplier invoicesConducting annual supplier reviews, prioritizing Canadian-owned businessesManaging inventory year-round, including year-end processesOverseeing POS system and managing the accounting of all sales and cash receiptsSupporting and training all retail associates, volunteers, and summer students in The ShopUpdating and maintaining Shopify presence and online inventoryLiaise with the Alum Association by providing monthly finance reports and encourage feedback on spirit wear items for the alum communityBuild strong relationships with the Branksome Hall community through effective communication with students, parents, alums, and staffCandidate Profile:3+ years of related retail experienceExcellent interpersonal skills and able to build rapport with a range of stakeholdersAbility to organize and prioritize in an extremely busy environmentExperience in running a store and with buying/sourcing retail merchandiseFamiliarity with the independent school system and working with youthStrong marketing and sales skillsExperience overseeing a budget and accounting procedures for purchases and salesFamiliarity with automated retailing systems , i.e. Point of sales systemsProficient in MS Office, Google Suite, and ShopifyWhy Join Branksome Hall:Joining Branksome Hall will change your life.
