Formed in 2013 as a major legacy project of the London 2012 Olympic Games, ISEH aims to be a world leading institute for sports and exercise medicine. ISEH is a partnership between HCA Healthcare UK, UCLH (University College London Hospitals Trust), University College London, UK Sports Institute and the British Olympic Association. Its mission is to provide excellence in the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of sports injuries and illnesses, whilst bridging the gap between elite sport and recreational physical activity to support the improvement in the health of the nation.Our Sports Medicine Physician’s provide proactive and reactive medical care to ill or injured patients. This ranges from elite to recreational athletes, or individuals wishing to use physical activity to improve their health and well-being. Our Sports Medicine Physician’s support the overall growth of sports medicine services across HCA; the world’s largest private hospital group. Partner HCA hospitals include The Princess Grace Hospital, London Bridge Hospital, The Wellington Hospital, The Lister Hospital, The Harborne Hospital (Birmingham) and Wilmslow Hospital (Manchester).For research active individuals, there is the potential for honorary affiliation within University College London’s Research Department of Targeted Intervention (Division of Surgery & Interventional Science.HCA has several innovative engagement models. These can range from highly competitive part or full-time employment with performance ‘true up’ compensation models, through to independent consultant practitioner via practicing privileges. ISEH Sports Medicine Physicians work as part of an multidisciplinary team dedicated to the ongoing management of all acute and chronic health conditions.What you’ll bring:

  • GMC Registration and License to Practice in the UK
  • A passion for team work, patient focused care with the ability to build and share best practice and offer a first-class patient experience
  • On the specialist SEM register (>1 year)
  • Active researcher and educator (PhD desirable)
