The Bedfordshire and Luton Biodiversity Recording and Monitoring Centre (BRMC) is currently looking for an individual to join our team to aid in processing and providing data to help inform future management, planning and research across Bedfordshire and Luton.

At the BRMC, the primary role of the Data Officer is managing BRMC’s data request service. This
includes the provision of data for external clients which can aid in informing future
management decisions, planning applications as well as for research. This will also involve
working closely with the BRMC Data Manager to help process species data collected by local
partners, such as the Bedfordshire Natural History Society.
Candidates should possess a keen interest in and commitment to wildlife and conservation issues
with previous experience in managing biodiversity data being preferred. Strong data management
and GIS skills, including the ability to work with accuracy and organisation is essential in
this role.
BRMC is hosted by the Wildlife Trust BCN and is based at their Priory Country Park office, with
the option for working from their other offices as well as hybrid working being a possibility
in this role. There will also be the occasional need for travel to attend meetings, training
and events across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.
