Customer Service Representative – $45k-$50k/year
A growing company in the Houston area is searching for a Customer Service Representative to handle customer inquiries, problem resolution, and relationship building. This is a direct hire, full-time position in a fast-paced environment, and the ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while maintaining accurate records and supporting company growth initiatives. Salary and Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with breaks and lunch
- Direct Hire, Full-Time Position
- $45,000 – $55,000 annually (based on experience)
- Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and PTO
Responsibilities:
- Handle inbound customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat in a professional manner
- Research and resolve customer issues promptly and accurately
- Maintain detailed customer records and interactions in CRM system (Salesforce preferred)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and retention
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve escalated issues and improve processes
- Provide product and service information to customers and prospects
- Identify opportunities to introduce additional products and services that benefit customers
- Process customer requests including account changes, billing inquiries, and service modifications
- Follow up on customer interactions to ensure complete resolution
- Maintain current knowledge of company products, services, and policies
- Meet individual and team performance metrics and goals
- Perform other duties as assigned to support customer service excellence
Required Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Customer-focused mindset with empathy and patience
- Professional demeanor in all customer interactions
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Qualifications & Requirements
- High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2+ years of customer service experience in a professional environment
- Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Previous experience in call center or customer support environment preferred
- Ability to learn new software and systems quickly
