Customer Service Representative – $45k-$50k/year

A growing company in the Houston area is searching for a Customer Service Representative to handle customer inquiries, problem resolution, and relationship building. This is a direct hire, full-time position in a fast-paced environment, and the ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while maintaining accurate records and supporting company growth initiatives. Salary and Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with breaks and lunch
  • Direct Hire, Full-Time Position
  • $45,000 – $55,000 annually (based on experience)
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and PTO

Responsibilities:

  • Handle inbound customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat in a professional manner
  • Research and resolve customer issues promptly and accurately
  • Maintain detailed customer records and interactions in CRM system (Salesforce preferred)
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and retention
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve escalated issues and improve processes
  • Provide product and service information to customers and prospects
  • Identify opportunities to introduce additional products and services that benefit customers
  • Process customer requests including account changes, billing inquiries, and service modifications
  • Follow up on customer interactions to ensure complete resolution
  • Maintain current knowledge of company products, services, and policies
  • Meet individual and team performance metrics and goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support customer service excellence

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Typing speed of 40+ WPM
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

  • Professional demeanor in all customer interactions
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of customer service experience in a professional environment
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Previous experience in call center or customer support environment preferred
  • Ability to learn new software and systems quickly
