Job description

• Overseeing the safety of children in your care

• Keep up-to-date records of children’s development, routines, and interests

• Helps children maintain good hygiene and changes the diapers of infants and toddlers

• Developing an effective cleaning plan to ensure all of the interactive areas are sanitary and safe

• Maintain excellent verbal and written communication with parents and guardians

• Creates schedules to ensure that children have adequate physical activity, rest, food and intellectual stimulation

• Developing and monitoring schedules to ensure that children have enough rest, physical activity, and playtime

• Transports children to summer activities like swimming lessons, sports practices and movies

• When necessary, administering first-aid or CPR to children

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent

• A minimum of 2 years’ solid work experience in a certified early childhood education center or equivalent program

• Valid CPR and First Aid certifications

• Has the ability to be open-minded about cultural diversity

• Must have a caring and compassionate attitude

• Outstanding communication and people skills
