SEN/SEMH Teacher – Permanent Position
Location: High WycombeA highly reputable, award-winning group of special educational needs (SEN) schools is seeking a skilled and compassionate SEN/SEMH Teacher to join the permanent teaching team at one of their specialist schools in High Wycombe. This role offers a unique opportunity to support children and young people with a combination of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to achieve both academic and personal success in a nurturing, structured environment.Key Responsibilities:Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the needs of learners with SEN and SEMH requirements.Create and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans.Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting strategies to ensure positive outcomes.Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents, and external agencies to provide holistic support.Promote positive behaviour, emotional resilience, and self-esteem in line with the school’s ethos.Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.Requirements:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.Proven experience working with children or young people with SEN and/or SEMH needs.Strong understanding of SEND legislation, behaviour management strategies, and trauma-informed practice.Ability to adapt teaching styles to a variety of learning needs and abilities.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.A collaborative approach and commitment to professional development.Dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils.The School Group Offers:A permanent role within a respected and forward-thinking organisation.Competitive salary and contributory pension scheme.Comprehensive training and career deve
