Introduction

Project Title: Provision of the EV battery container base at Tafaigata landfill 
Location: Samoa, Apia

Climate Action Pathways for Island Transport (CAP-IT) project aims to promote the urgent and inclusive transformation of the land and maritime transport sectors toward decarbonization. This will be done by accelerating the uptake of electric vehicles (EVs) in support of the achievement of Samoa’s enhanced Nationally Determined Contributions to the energy and transport sector by 2030. As part of the CAP-IT project, UNDP expects to acquire EV battery container for storing EV batteries and other material.  
This tender is seeking a suitable Contractor that could undertake required civil works for the EV battery container foundation, including water supply and grid connection. The Contractor shall include in the team a certified electrical engineer and a structural engineer by Institution of Professional Engineers Samoa (IPES) and demonstrate a good understanding of Development Consent and Building Permit application process in Samoa. 
The proposed location of the EV battery container is Tafaigata landfill (-13.842040, -171.840058).
