Working hours: Full time- 35 hours per week
Location: Robinswood Hill Country Park, Reservoir Road, Gloucester, GL4 6SX but with regular working across the county, especially in the Forest of Dean and Gloucestershire Frome areas. There is an expectation that the postholder will work from Forestry England offices in Coleford on average one day per week.
The role is to lead the delivery of the Severn Vale Beaver Project in collaboration with multiple partners and funders including the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Forestry England. Following the successful completion of a Feasibility Study into the reintroduction of beaver into Gloucestershire, GWT are looking for a highly motivated individual to coordinate the delivery of the next phase of this exciting project.
Are you an ambitious and innovative person and do you want to use your skills to help put nature into recovery in Gloucestershire? We are looking for an excellent communicator with experience of partnership projects working at a landscape scale.
You will be passionate about the natural world (especially beavers), highly motivated with a proven track record of high-quality work, whilst also being a great team player and have excellent IT skills.
Interviews will be held in person at our offices at Robinswood Hill Country Park in Gloucester. Provisional date for interviews is Friday 3rd July 2026.

The Severn Vale Beaver Project is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we have been able to progress from exploring the feasibility of reintroducing beavers to Gloucestershire to a new stage getting the Severn Vale beaver-ready and applying for a licence form Natural England to release beavers into the wild.
