Your responsibilities as Business Controlling Director
- Strategic ownership in a complex environment going through transformation, P&L accountability, strong influence on business direction;
- Maintain a strategic, big-picture perspective while ensuring attention to critical details when needed;
- Report to Financial planning & controlling Tribe Lead;
- Strategic and execution-oriented leader;
- Strong communication, writing and presentation skills; this person will interface with executives and tribe leads across the organization;
- Able to create narrative surroundings financials results;
- Lead the automation and transformation agenda, streamlining processes and elevating the function toward higher-value, insight-driven analysis;
- Stakeholder management towards the business in matrix structure (both from a vertical and horizontal perspective), other team managers within the tribe and any other Finance & Strategy colleagues directly linked to the scope of the function.
Your key deliverables
- Own and lead the monthly P&L, ensuring clear insight into and articulation of the key operational drivers. Challenging commercial performance and overall results;
- Lead the planning and performance management cycle, shaping forecasts, budgets, and long-range plans to support strategic decision-making;
- Lead, influence and coordinate all Business cases. Driving the business unit resource allocation;
- Crisp and insightful presentation towards executive management and tribe leads;
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team, fostering growth, ownership, and accountability;
- Lead stakeholder management across a complex matrix organization, collaborating effectively with both vertical and horizontal stakeholders, including tribe leadership, team managers, and Finance & Strategy partners.
Our ideal Business Controlling Director has…
- Controlling experience in a large company and proven experience in managing a team;
- Master Degree in Business, Economics or equivalent, MBA is a plus;
- At least 5 years people manager experience;
- Telco business knowledge preferred;
- Experience in Management Reporting, Forecasting and M&A processes;
- Expertise in controlling;
- Working in a changing environment;
- Analytical thinking – ability to understand business needs;
- Accuracy, quality and consistency awareness;
- Ability to prioritize, monitor and control;
- Keeping oversight of big picture with attention for detail;
- Strong communication and collaboration skills;
- Advanced skills with reporting tools and Microsoft Office Tools;
- English language skills (French or Dutch is a plus).
