Overview

Goal

The ultimate goal of this pilot is to deploy, test, and evaluate the real-world effectiveness of three specialized AAC technologies among persons with severe speech and motor impairments in Armenia. The selected CSO(s) will generate critical operational evidence and recommendations and compile those in a final report to inform the MLSA’s national scale-up strategy.

Furthermore, to ensure equitable access and address the acute needs of conflict-affected populations, the pilot mandates that at least 20% of the selected beneficiaries must be refugees with disabilities or PwDs residing in vulnerable refugee-hosting communities.

Activities

The Scope of Work is divided into the following core activities:

The selected organization(s) shall implement the pilot by deploying and testing the AAC solutions across different real-life settings, including home, educational, rehabilitation, abilitation and community environments, as appropriate to the individual needs of the beneficiaries. Throughout the pilot, the organization(s) shall document implementation processes, user outcomes, and operational lessons to generate practical evidence on the usability, functionality, and effectiveness of the technologies in different contexts and inform recommendations for future national scale-up.
