Senior Project Manager

Calder Rivers Trust

We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead the development and delivery of practical environmental improvements across the catchment. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a varied portfolio of projects, including some of the Trust’s most complex and demanding work, delivering lasting benefits for people and nature.

You’ll lead projects through their full lifecycle, from early development and feasibility through to delivery, handover and evaluation. You’ll manage budgets, contractors, risks, project teams and delivery arrangements to ensure projects are planned effectively, delivered safely and achieve high-quality environmental outcomes.

You’ll play an important role in shaping project ideas into deliverable schemes, contributing to project design and planning, supporting colleagues to develop their skills, and helping strengthen project management capability across the Trust.

We’re looking for someone with strong project management experience, practical environmental knowledge, and a commitment to safe, high-quality delivery. Someone who can confidently lead teams, manage complexity, make sound decisions, and maintain momentum when balancing competing priorities. You’ll be comfortable taking ownership of challenging projects while supporting others to succeed.

We’re a flexible, human-centred organisation. The role is full-time (35 hours/week), with 28 days’ holiday plus public holidays. You can choose a working pattern that fits your life, and we’re happy to explore reduced hours if that’s what you need.

If this sounds like a role you could grow into, even if you don’t tick every box right now, we’d be keen to hear from you. Submit an application and tell us what you’d bring to the role.
