Job description

justteachers is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 student in Ilkley. This role is set to begin in September 2024, with the potential for the position to become permanent.Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personalised support to a Year 3 student, tailoring assistance to meet their individual educational needs.
• Assist the class teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging the student’s academic and personal development.
• Monitor and report on the student’s progress, making adjustments to support strategies as necessary.
• Build a strong, supportive relationship with the student, promoting confidence and engagement in school activities.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children in a primary school setting, preferably in a 1:1 support role.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Relevant qualifications or training in education or special needs support (preferred but not essential).
