Job Purpose and Organizational Context
The United Nations Office on Drug and Crime (UNODC) provides technical assistance related to combating terrorism, organized crime, corruption and drugs to requesting Member States. This assistance also supports States Strengthening criminal justice and health systems and to ratify and successfully implement international conventions and protocols, in compliance with the rule of law and human rights. The UNODC
Programme Office in Indonesia supports the government of Indonesia to strengthen responses to these challenges.
POIDN functions within the framework of UNODC’s Regional Office for Southeast Asia and the Pacific (ROSEAP) and support the implementation of programming being undertaken by ROSEAP in Indonesia. ROSEAP’s Regional Programme outlines the proposed scope and focus of UNODC’s work in the region. It provides a framework for delivering a coherent programme of work to:
(i) give clear focus to supporting Member States and regional partners in achieving priority crime and
drug outcomes; and
(ii) increase the responsiveness, efficiency and effectiveness of UNODC’s support to the region.
National Programme Officer – Psychosocial is located in the Programme Office in Indonesia (POIDN) with duty station in Jakarta, under the Regional Office for Southeast Asia and the Pacific (ROSEAP) in Bangkok, Thailand, Division for Operations (DO), United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). The incumbent will work under the overall supervision of the Head of Office of POIDN, the incumbent will perform his/her duty under the direct supervision of the Criminal Justice Programme Coordinator and the ENDVAC Team Leader and Project Leader in the Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Section (CPCJS) at UNODC Headquarters Vienna.
Within assigned authority, the National Programme Officer – Psychosocial will assist in the implementation of
projects being delivered under the end violence against children (ENDVAC) portfolio in Indonesia. In particular, the incumbent will be responsible for the following specific duties:
1. Support the ENDVAC Project Leader in developing and delivering capacity building activities on psychosocial topics, child protection, and children associated with terrorist groups:

2. Provide substantive support to the END Violence Against Children Team on psychosocial topics, child protection and children associated with terrorist groups:
3. Support effective collaboration at the local, national, and international levels for the End VAC projects focusing on psychosocial topics, child protection, and children associated with terrorist groups:
4. Support the ENDVAC Project Leader and POIDN in various tasks to further the overall projects and objectives of UNODC:

Education:
Minimum Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or related field.

Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia in both writing and speaking.
