We are seeking to appoint an innovative and inspirational individual as the Faculty Operating Officer (FOO) for Greenwich Business School. Reporting directly to the PVC and Executive Dean, the Faculty Operating Officer is responsible for the efficient and effective running of all professional services and processes in the faculty. This is an exciting opportunity to be a leader of positive change in a modern London-based Business School with ambitious plans for the future.

The FOO holds overall faculty responsibilities for finance, human resources, operations, student recruitment, space, student support services, facilities management and marketing and events. The job involves organising and coordinating the faculty interfaces with the university services provided centrally by Directorates as well as working collaboratively across the University on institution-wide projects.

Our Faculty Operating Officers are key to the success of the University’s 2030 strategy. They play leading roles in managing complex faculty operations. With large numbers of on-campus students who sit alongside students and partnerships across three continents and several time zones, the strategic and operational challenges are significant. The staff team is large (300+) including both academic and professional staff.

The successful candidate will be an inspiring leader with experience and skills across the different functional areas, and with the interpersonal skills to achieve outcomes in a complex organisation. You will have the ability to build teams, think strategically and work as part of the Faculty Leadership Team to provide professional services that will meet current and future business needs.
