About the role

The Academic Quality and Standards Officer (Degree Apprenticeships) provides expert support in ensuring compliance with internal and external academic quality and standards requirements in degree apprenticeship provision. They will design and manage a robust quality assurance framework for degree apprenticeship provision, including development of new policies and procedures. The role also has responsibility for elements of provision related to collaborative and accredited programmes. They work closely with academic and professional services departments, ensuring that apprenticeship programmes are compliant with the expectations of the Office for Students, Ofsted, ESFA, and other relevant bodies.

About you

This role would suit an applicant with demonstrable experience in academic assurance, policy research and drafting, proactive committee servicing, and programme development and review with an understanding of the higher education context. You work well independently and as part of a team, and have strong communication skills and an ability to communicate policies and good practice to diverse key stakeholders and to ensure compliance. The post is based at Department W in London. It is a full-time, permanent appointment. The starting salary will be Grade 5, in the range £41,386 – £48,414 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
