The Academic Success team focuses on faculty and student engagement, ensuring their success and satisfaction with Elsevier solutions.About the RoleAs an Academic Success Executive, you will engage faculty and students, ensuring their success and satisfaction with Elsevier solutions at High Touch universities. You will hold high-quality face-to-face and online meetings with C-suite stakeholders, deans, curriculum leaders, education directors, and librarians to retain and grow subscriptions. Key responsibilities include upselling, cross-selling, and creating partnerships with key institutions in the assigned territory.Responsibilities

  • Cultivating strategic partnerships with universities, fostering change management initiatives and seamlessly integrating GME content and solutions into student and faculty workflows.
  • Collaborating with the sales team to create strategies for promoting the GME portfolio and embedding products in curricula.
  • Developing targeted account plans with colleagues for maximum results.
  • Working with the sales team to convert opportunities into sales, focusing on usage, renewals, and data-driven metrics.
  • Conducting high-quality kick-off meetings for new subscriptions and midyear business reviews with current customers.
  • Promoting and demonstrating the GME portfolio, including content and digital platforms, to current and potential customers.
  • Building a network of new key contacts within High Touch customers.
  • Developing Academic Success Plans for each High Touch institution, including Curriculum Embeddedness strategy and engagement plan.
  • Managing the onboarding and implementation of GME solutions for key faculty and students.

Requirements

  • Have previous experience in a customer-facing role within an academic/education, content, or software organization.
  • Demonstrate a strategic approach to ensure proactive communication, avoiding ad hoc and reactive measures in GME partnerships with universities.
  • Be bold in reaching out to customers to arrange meetings, especially with high-ranking university stakeholders and specializing in training initiatives (for example, librarians, deans, curriculum leaders, education and training directors, and other decision makers).
  • Be proficient in generating and interpreting usage-related data and communicating data-driven insights.
  • Have exceptional organizational skills, be adept at thriving in dynamic and high-pressure environments, and committed to ensuring every customer request receives a prompt and thorough response.
  • Be an excellent communicator with engaging presentation skills. Have the ability to build rapport and credibility quickly at all levels.
  • Be a team player with effective collaboration skills within a matrix organization.
  • Be fluent in English, with excellent speaking and writing skills.
  • Be open to travel (50%) and possess a driving license.
