Salary: £12.83 per hour
Start: Immediate or after half-term

GSL Education are looking for an Academic Support Assistant to join a secondary school in Southampton, Hampshire.About the Role:As an Academic Support Assistant, you will provide learning support to students who require extra help with their studies. You will work closely with teachers and students to ensure that every learner has the opportunity to reach their full potential.Key Responsibilities:

• Support students in their academic progress through structured learning activities.
• Provide 1:1 or small group support in core subjects.
• Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management.
• Encourage student confidence and independent learning.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and SENCOs.
• Experience in education or academic support.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills.
• Ability to engage students effectively.
• Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
