This role is ideal for those committed to fostering an inclusive, engaging, and productive educational environment.Responsibilities of the Academic Support Assistant:

• Assist students in their academic development, providing one-on-one and group support in core subject areas.
• Collaborate with teachers to adapt learning materials and resources for diverse learning needs.
• Encourage and motivate students to develop their confidence, resilience and independent learning skills.
• Monitor and record student progress, offering constructive feedback to teachers and parents.
• Provide pastoral support to help students overcome personal challenges impacting their learning.
• Uphold a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom and school community.

The successful candidate will:

• Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant certification, or demonstrable experience in a similar role.
• Strong academic background with the ability to assist in subjects like Mathematics, English, or Science.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students and staff.
• A proactive, empathetic, and patient approach to supporting diverse student needs.
• Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
