Job Title: Academic Support for Primary School
Location: Southampton, Hampshire
Salary: £12.83 per hour
Start Date: Easter 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent (Part-Time Can Be Arranged for the Right Candidate)Do you have a passion for supporting young learners in their academic journey?GSL Education are looking for a motivated and supportive Academic Support Assistant to join a primary school in Southampton. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working with children and want to help them develop confidence and succeed in their learning.Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group academic support to students.
• Assist teachers in delivering lessons and preparing learning resources.
• Encourage students to engage with their studies and build key learning skills.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Help monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience in education or working with children is desirable but not essential.
• A patient, encouraging, and adaptable approach to learning support.
• Strong communication skills to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Passionate about helping children achieve their academic potential.
• An up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, with any gaps explained).
• An enhanced DBS registered to the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
