Accompaniment Officer – Proyecto Habesha

About USCRI

The U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) is an international non-governmental and non-profit organization with a mission to protect the rights and address the needs of people in migration by advancing fair and humane public policies, facilitating and providing direct professional services, and promoting the full participation of migrants in community life.

In collaboration with its partners, USCRI provides legal, social, and health services to refugees, unaccompanied migrant children, survivors of trafficking, and other immigrants across all 50 states, as well as in El Salvador, Honduras, Kenya, and Mexico. USCRI advocates for the rights of refugees and immigrants at both the national and global levels, helping to shape policies, practices, and laws. USCRI Mexico was established in 2021 with the Mexico-U.S. Border Program in Tijuana, and in 2024, additional programs were added to support the creation of complementary educational pathways for refugees in Mexico. This goal is simultaneously supported by the creation of safe, inclusive, and intercultural welcoming communities and by advocating for the rights of migrants and asylum seekers.
