Red Flag Global is recruiting an Account Executive or Senior Account Executive (Strategic Communications and Public Affairs) to support our growing EU and international client base.
Red Flag Global is a strategic communications and campaigns agency with offices in Brussels, Dublin, London, Washington DC and Cape Town. What you’ll do
Account Executives are vitally important to Red Flag. They are the backbone of the company and provide invaluable support to account teams and clients through smart monitoring, research and drafting of advocacy and strategic communications materials.
Red Flag’s Account Executives:
- Execute and monitor strategic communications and public affairs on behalf of our clients;
- Engage with journalists, policymakers and other stakeholders to advance client interests, including drafting press releases, organising events and coordinating meetings;
- Monitor and analyse coverage (traditional and digital media) of client and prospective client issues;
- Provide analysis on the content, sentiment and implications of debates across policy fora and platforms;
- Identify opportunities for new business development in cooperation with senior staff;
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and client expectations are exceeded.
What we want
- 1-2 years of public relations or political experience;
- An interest in politics and a good understanding of how the EU institutions work;
- Strong writing skills (ability to write press releases, communications plans, speaking points, social media content, etc.); ability to understand and write clearly about technical subjects;
- Comfortable communicating with senior colleagues, clients and stakeholders;
- Media relations experience and media skills/contacts preferred;
- Interest in digital communications and experience working with social media tools are desirable;
- Excellent communication and organisational skills as well as the ability to prioritise and multi-task in a creative, challenging and fast-paced work environment;
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment;
- A proactive approach and a sense of initiative.
