The Role

The Account Manager II-UCC Salses will go to amazing lengths to solve the business problems of their clients by leveraging the Unified Communication tools that we support within our cloud UC portfolio.

Lumen’s Unified Communications and Collaboration services arm is changing the way that large enterprises assess and procure the tools that keep them productive. We combine a significant local presence with an expansive global network to keep our clients connected, wherever business happens.

As an Account Manager II, you will demonstrate your unique value by supporting our direct Lumen sales team with product and process expertise in our UC offerings of cloud collaboration (audio, web, video conferencing) UCaaS (hosted telephony), CCaaS (cloud contact center), IM/P (instant message), and managed enterprise voice and network services.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Sell transformational solutions associated with Voice, VOIP, Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC)/Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS), and Contact Center/Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS).

  • Develop and maintain relationships from the operational through the ‘C’ level in pursuit of helping customers navigate their future state of communications journey.

  • Accountable for meeting and/or exceeding assigned sales objectives and quotas within a designated module and/or territory.

  • Provide superior technology and solution knowledge on a day-to-day basis.

  • Build and maintain accurate and up to date strategic account plans associated with sales opportunities.

  • Partner with Lumen customer success, account managers and customers through a strategic and consultative sales approach to understand their business needs, issues, strategies and priorities to deliver a value-added communications solution.

  • Utilize designated sales-related systems to share and forecast progress towards Lumen’s goals specific to your module and efforts, including but not limited to managing sales funnel to represent, analyze and manage pipeline activity and monitor sales activity against assigned quotas.

What We Look For in a Candidate

  • UCaaS sales experience specific to Cisco Webex, Microsoft Teams/Direct Routing, Zoom, and contact center.

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of related experience; or 4+ years of related experience.

  • Knowledge of the Cisco and Microsoft collaboration portfolio.

  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in selling to customers.

  • Self-motivated, pro-active, results-oriented professional with an ability to work with minimum direction.

  • Proficient in MS office products: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Verifiable history of exceeding sales goals personally and as part of a team.

  • Aptitude of selling cloud based “as a service” offerings.

  • Requires at least 50% or more of time conducting sales activities outside of the office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience selling in the Unified Communications industry; within the Fortune 1,000.

  • Cloud hosting or hybrid cloud experience preferred and will greatly help with cross selling efforts and broaden the value of Lumen to our clients.

Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee’s primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$59850 – $79800 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.

$63000 – $84000 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.

$66150 – $88200 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.

$69300 – $92400 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.

As with the pay range variety that’s based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
