We are in search of an Accounting Analyst with a focus on IT finance. Situated in Toronto, Ontario, this position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. You will be playing a crucial role in the review and analysis of vendor invoices, managing purchasing workflows, and providing financial analysis and reporting.Responsibilities:

• Handling Goods Receipt in business software systems
• Conducting thorough review, coding, and approval recommendations for vendor invoices
• Serving as the primary liaison between external IT vendors and internal AP & Accounting teams for billing and payment issues
• Submitting monthly accruals accurately
• Collecting and creating documents for new vendor setup
• Working collaboratively with Procurement, Legal and Finance teams, and IT stakeholders for vendor agreements analysis
• Creating purchase requisitions using business software systems
• Managing purchasing workflows in collaboration with approvers, Procurement team and Finance team
• Conducting recurring and ad-hoc financial analysis, reporting and advice for IT stakeholders, Finance, Procurement, etc.
• Utilizing accounting software systems for efficient processing and reporting.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in an Accounting Analyst role or similar
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP – Financial Services is beneficial
• Familiarity with Ceridian and Concur software
• Ability to work with ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning systems
• Knowledge of various Accounting Functions
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with Auditing procedures and regulations
• Experience in handling Billing Functions
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
