We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Specialist in Ottawa, Ontario. As an integral part of our team, your primary role will be to manage and maintain our financial records and support our audit processes. You will be working in a fast-paced environment where you will be expected to handle multiple tasks ranging from invoice preparation to account reconciliation.Responsibilities:-Handle the processing of expense claims to ensure accurate financial reporting-Conduct reconciliations of accounts to maintain accurate records-Prepare invoices and manage accounts payable and receivable-Utilize Sage 300, Concur, and ADP for various accounting tasks-Support audit processes by providing necessary information and documentation-Ensure tax remittances are done accurately and on time-Leverage knowledge of Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning for efficient task completion-Oversee billing functions to ensure timely and accurate billing-Maintain a thorough knowledge of accounting functions and stay updated on industry trends and changes-Use skills in Ceridian and other financial services to enhance job performance and efficiency.-Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as an Accounting Specialist.-Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.-Experience with ADP – Financial Services is a significant advantage.-Familiarity with Ceridian and Concur is desirable.-Proficient in ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning.-Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions.-Expertise in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).-Experience in Auditing is required.-Should have knowledge of Billing Functions.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
