Robert Half is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to play a vital role in our client’s finance department in Mississauga. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in Accounts Receivable functions. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing various aspects of the accounts receivable process, including reconciling accounts, bank reconciliations, month-end journal entries, cash receipts, and potential involvement in collections activities. Proficiency in SAP is a key requirement for this role, as you will be utilizing this system extensively.Responsibilities:
– Execute month-end journal entries and conduct thorough review processes
– Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and transparency
– Manage cash receipts and apply payments to customer accounts
– Assist with collections efforts as needed to ensure timely payment from customers
– Reconcile accounts and communicate internally to confirm intercompany balances
– Utilize SAP for efficient and effective AR management– Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field
– 2-3 years of practical experience in Accounts Receivable or related financial functions
– Strong understanding of cash flow management and reconciliation processes
– Proficiency in SAP with demonstrable experience in utilizing its AR capabilities
– Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective internal and external correspondence
