Reporting directly to the Director and Clinical Manager(s) of the Emergency, Medicine and Critical Care Departments, the Program Secretary will provide administrative and secretarial support to an assigned number of Clinical Managers and staff teams in the department of the Emergency, Medicine and Critical Care Program. The Program Secretary will be responsible for organizing the Clinical Manager(s) schedule, files, reviewing budgets, running statistical reports, checking for accuracy, problem solving when issues arise, and deal with human resources matters. The Program Secretary will develop and maintain good working relationships with all members of the department and affiliated clinic/program personnel. Confidentiality is essential to this position.Qualifications1. Graduate of Community College Business Secretarial Program
2. Minimum 2 years current related experience
3. Experience with invoice management
4. Knowledge of Medical Terminology
5. Demonstrates ability to appreciate confidential nature of position
6. Excellent computer skills in a variety of applications including Microsoft Office, Payroll, Peoplesoft, Taleo, Budget Tool, ASMP, and Meditech.
7. Knowledge and experience with human resources processes related to new hires and staff transfers
8. Proficient keyboarding skills (60 wpm)
9. Demonstrates excellence in effective communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and problem-solving skills
10. Excellent transcription and minute-taking abilities
11. Ability to work on own demonstrating initiative, organization and establishment of priorities
12. Demonstrates ability to meet project and task deadlines
13. Demonstrates ability to develop systems that create efficient work flowAs a condition of employment, you are required to submit proof of full COVID-19 vaccination to Employee Health Services.
