Thompson, Manitoba, CanadaBaker Tilly HMA LLP is looking for an Administrative Assistant/Receptionist to join our team based in our Thompson office.Baker Tilly and its predecessor firm have been providing professional accounting services across Manitoba since 1957. Baker Tilly will help you achieve more than what was thought possible.Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • General administrative duties include, but are not limited to, reception, greeting and assisting visiting clients and guests, liaising with couriers, scanning and faxing
  • Answering and managing calls, messages and emails
  • Assisting with accounts receivable, accounts payable and preparation of bank deposits
  • Assemble and file financial statements and maintain the office filing system
  • Support other staff and/or partners on various projects as required
  • Ensure office supplies stock levels and office equipment is always maintained
  • Other duties as assigned

A successful candidate will have:

  • 1+ year of experience in an office environment as a receptionist
  • Experience in a professional services firm preferred
  • Highly proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Basic understanding of bookkeeping processes is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients and all levels of staff
  • Highly organized, the ability to re-prioritize workload and adapt to changing circumstances, and strong time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Excellent judgment and problem solving skills
