Reporting to the Manager, ETRM Control, you will assist in the administration of contracts fundamental to midstream commodity marketing and trading. You are a motivated self-starter with the ability to learn and master job requirements quickly. In addition, you exhibit a high level of professionalism while learning and applying business acumen to your work execution.The successful candidate will be eligible for company benefits including Medical/Dental/Vision, vacation time off, and flex days. Additionally, this position comes with the option of a hybrid work schedule, combining working in our Calgary office with working remotely.Responsibilities:

  • Maintain contracts in our RightAngle energy trading and risk management (ETRM) system for all commodity and trade types including crude; mix; propane and butane; physical; and financial.
  • Understand how to capture complex trader requests within the limitations of the system.
  • Liaise between multiple departments to resolve process amendments such as invoicing, position management, pricing, and contracts and compliance.
  • Perform various data quality checks as required at the start and end of each day.
  • Manage system data including requests for new vendors, contacts, pricing, and pipeline strategies.
  • Update daily pricing reports with the latest industry data and internal reporting requirements.
  • Improve processes and updates in procedure manuals.
  • Problem-solve to assist traders, marketers, and other teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or PPE considered an asset.
  • Up to 4 years’ relevant work experience.
  • Experience supporting crude and/or NGL marketing and trading is preferred.
  • Experience with RightAngle or other ETRM systems would be an asset.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in fast-paced environment.
  • Highly motivated with strong financial, analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Goal oriented and able to contribute as a team player.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook.
  • Proven flexibility with the ability to adapt to changing business conditions.
  • Cleared criminal history (background), education, and satisfactory reference checks.
