1415038We are currently working with an SEMH Alternative Provision in Harrogate, North Yorkshire who are looking to recruit for a full-time Advanced Teaching Assistant (ATA) to support pupils with Social, Emotional, Mental Health needs, who have been excluded from mainstream schools.If you have experience as an Advanced Teaching Assistant, working in mainstream education settings, or in mainstream primary or secondary schools then we would love to hear from you.The role is full-time working Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 16:00 and you will be required to support qualified teachers, and other Teaching Assistants with the delivery of the national curriculum to the highest standards. This will be in full class settings, as well as 121 with individual students.Responsibilities:
- Support students with challenging behaviour
- Build positive and progressive relationship with students and staff
- Support students with their studies and wellbeing
- Restrain students when and were appropriate using correct guidelines and following full training
You will need:
- Patience and a very understanding nature
- Resilience and high levels of enthusiasm
- Ability to remain positive
- Experience of working in a similar environment
- Advanced Teaching Assistant qualification
