Job Description:Grade UE07: £39,347 to £46,974 per annumCAHSS / LLC / The Alwaleed CentreFull time: 35 hours per weekFixed term: For two yearsStart date 2 September 2024 or as soon as possible thereafterThe Alwaleed Centre for the Study of Islam in the Contemporary World at the University of Edinburgh seeks to appoint a Project and Partnerships Manager to commence on 2 September 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter.The Opportunity:This is an exciting, outward-facing role in a leading research, teaching and outreach centre committed to broadening its global reach and increasing its engagement with key universities, cultural institutions and policy-makers across the world.The successful candidate will play a leading role in managing the Centre’s portfolio of existing projects, whilst also being expected to explore new prospects in key regions of the world as defined by the Centre’s strategy.The post is full-time (35 hours per week) for a fixed term of two years, and combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Proven ability to manage complex projects involving multiple international partners.
  • Proven skills in planning, prioritisation, allocation and delegation of work.
  • Experience of working collaboratively with colleagues in the academic, cultural and policy sectors.
  • Ability to develop, maintain and grow influential relationships with key stakeholders across cultures and geographies.
  • Ability to analyse and solve problems with an appreciation of possible longer-term implications.
  • Proven experience in developing digital content for websites and social media platforms.
