We offer a full range of corporate banking, investment banking and capital markets products and solutions, partnering closely with all divisions of Scotiabank to deliver a coordinated approach across products and geographies.Purpose
Analysts in FIG Investment Banking enjoy a stimulating and challenging work environment in which they execute a broad range of M&A and financing transactions across the Financial Services sector. A high degree of responsibility is afforded to those demonstrating initiative and the desire to take on such responsibility.What You’ll Do:

• Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
• Evaluate and analyzing the financial needs of corporate clients, including the development of financial models
• Monitor the broader Financial Services environment to inform the team on key developments and potential opportunities
• Create marketing materials and presentations
• Support transaction structuring and execution efforts, with increasing levels of responsibility and accountability over time
• Identify and developing business opportunities with clients
• Seek out opportunities for professional development
• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
• Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, Math, Engineering, Economics, Science or Technology
• Comprehensive financial statement analysis and create and maintain models
• Solid experience in financial and written analysis of companies and industries to collect, consolidate and interpret company and industry data
• Excellent command of Microsoft Suite, with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
• Client presentations preparation, including compiling data and assembling presentation materials
• Experience to support the drafting of prospectuses, related documentation and marketing materials for transactions
• A high level of energy and a keen desire to learn new concepts
• Independent thinker and proven ability to make decisions

Work Arrangement:This position is an onsite role, with the expectation that you will work 4-5 days a week in the office.
