The role also includes analysis, cleansing and standardization of existing IDS Vendor Master Data to create consistent information across Canada for our Customers and Sysco Colleagues.Role Responsibilities:

  • Process Direct and Indirect Vendor set ups and changes in each Site’s IDS environment
  • Work with various data query tools and IT to run reports showing existing data setups and differences
  • Review existing Direct and Indirect Vendor data and work with subject matter experts within the company to determine proper master data set up in order to standardize information across Canada
  • Process large data updates as part of data standardization and cleansing process.
  • Work with Sites to eliminate duplicate Vendor set ups
  • Collaborate with US SBS and the Step/Stibo system for all Vendor set up
  • Work with Sites to ensure proper compliance documents for on-site service Vendors
  • Set up new Vendors in Canada’s new Expense PO processing system
  • Responsible for compliance with all Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) comprising Sysco’s Food Safety Program, specific for the assigned role.
  • Assist Food Safety Program Manager in ensuring compliance to Sysco’s Food Safety Program that leads to compliance with third party certification and customer requirements.
  • Contribute creative and innovative continual improvements to current processes.
  • Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
  • Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements (About you):

  • Minimum three (3+) years job related experience in Data Management and Business Analysis
  • Post-Secondary degree/diploma in Business or Finance is an asset
  • Bilingual in French is an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools including Word, Excel (Expert level), and Outlook as well as Cognos, AS400, and Internet applications.
  • Strong organizational, time management, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Must be extremely detail and deadline oriented, a fast learner, and a multi-tasker.
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness
  • Technical knowledge on existing Sysco systems in Finance or Merchandising is an asset.
  • Robust collaboration skills, effective follow-up and excellent team player attitude.
