Enjoy a high standard of living with low housing costs and short commutes when you live and work as an Anatomical Pathologist in Saskatchewan, the sunniest province in Canada.Job DescriptionPosition profile: – Saskatoon and University Saskatchewan, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Division of Anatomical Pathology seek a full-time Anatomical Pathologist with Dermatopathology Fellowship training to join their team. The Department combines academic, research, and service components, has an accredited residency training program in general pathology, and provides training at the undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral levels. The successful applicant will work in a multidisciplinary care environment.The (SHA) is the largest organization in Saskatchewan, employing over 44,000 employees and physicians responsible for the delivery of high quality and timely health care for the entire province. We are driven by the commitment to improve front line patient care for Saskatchewan people, and we are working together to better coordinate health services across the province to ensure that patients receive high quality, timely health care, wherever they live in Saskatchewan.Physicians may have the opportunity to teach undergraduate and post-graduate education at the University of Saskatchewan (USask). The USask campus is located on the shores of the South Saskatchewan River in Saskatoon, a city with a diverse and thriving economic base and a vibrant cultural life. USask is a research-intensive institution with 22,000 students and 7,000 faculty and staff, and a strong reputation for innovation and excellence. It is home to the newly constructed Academic Health Sciences Complex and two of the largest science projects in the country – the Canadian Light Source synchrotron and the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization/International Vaccine Centre. A users group is available for collaborative research with clinical faculty using the $173.5 million Canadian Light Source synchrotron, owned by the University of Saskatchewan.Qualifications/Requirements of the positionCandidates must hold an MD degree, have completed specialty training in Anatomical Pathology, be eligible for licensing with the and hold or be eligible for specialty certification with the .
