AnesthesiologistOur client is seeking a full-time permanent anesthetist to join a team of eight specialists.The Hospital, located in Southern PEI is the provincial referral center for specialized hospital services. The 243-bed facility provides emergency, surgical, inpatient and ambulatory care services.HOURS OF WORK: 37.5 hours per weekREMUNERATION: Physicians have the option of choosing salary or fee-for-service payment modality.Fee for Service: As an incorporated, independent medical specialist you can expect an annual income in excess of $400,000.Salaried payment model: $227,119- $262,607. Includes 4 weeks paid vacation, paid sick leave, employer contributed pension plan, family dental plan, Rx drug plan, group life and dis-ability plans, subsidized professional fees, etc..JOB DUTIES: Full participation in the call rotation is expected, as is a willingness to provide all services routinely offered by Department members.INCENTIVES:Return-in-Service Grant and Moving Expense Allowance are available.Qualified and licensable candidates may be eligible for a return in service grant of $100,000 with a 3 year (5,850 hour) commitment.Opportunity to teach medical students and residents with a faculty appointment from Dalhousie University.Electronic patient record system (hospital based) with access to lab and x-ray reports from the office.QUALIFICATIONS:Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada eligibility or certification preferred.Exceptional fully certified USA, RSA and UK candidates may be considered.Must be eligible for licensure with the provincial College of Physicians and Surgeons.THE COMMUNITY:The capital city might be small, but it’s bursting with big energy and Island hospitality.
