Anti-Trafficking Coordinator

SCOPE OF WORK:

The Anti-Trafficking Coordinator is responsible for the supervision of staff and direct services programs overseeing quality control for both contractual compliance and service provision to clients engaged in IRC Sacramento Human Trafficking Outreach and Prevention Programming which aims to find sustainable solutions that are appropriate for the unique situations of each client. The Anti-Trafficking Coordinator oversees grant implementation and provides support to staff and clients. This role provides technical assistance and leadership to a casework team in Sacramento, and is responsible for cultivating, developing, and maintaining community partnerships and other community resources under the human anti-trafficking umbrella. The Anti-Trafficking Coordinator reports to the Anti-Trafficking Manager of IRC Sacramento.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Program Leadership

  • Supervise program staff to ensure that core services are provided within the required timeframes.
  • Conduct regular and timely case file reviews with team members; Ensure compliance with case file documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure client success with a strong emphasis on empowerment through high-quality service that supports clients to thrive in their community.
  • Oversee administrative duties and program deliverables required are met by all subcontractors.
  • Provide technical assistance and trainings to staff, partners and the community.
  • Track and provide timely detailed information on grant activities, performance, and related tasks.
  • Work closely with staff to promote strong relationships across programs while fully implementing a client-centered service methodology across all service areas.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of the regulations, reauthorizations, and related policies concerning both programs.
  • Provide training, guidance, and technical support to staff, volunteers, and interns engaged in the HOPE and CP programs.
  • Track program spending on non-personnel lines.
  • Represent IRC at community meetings and other external settings.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with various agencies and with their assistance develop safety plans/protocols for clients, staff, and the office as it relates to the programs.
  • Ensure program activities are implemented consistently with donor requirements and provide technical support, oversight, and leadership to the case management team.
  • Assist, develop, and maintain strategic community partnerships with other service providers, government agencies, and other key stakeholders.
  • Assist the Program Manager and program staff to monitor and manage all program budgets and oversee that program outcomes meet proposed goals.
  • In coordination with the Program Manager, collaborate with the HQ TAs and other partners.
  • Ensure follow-up care for clients of concern.
  • Participate in grant and program development as necessary.
  • Promote and actively participate in initiatives and efforts to build team engagement, inclusion, and cohesion in IRC Northern California.
  • Foster ongoing learning, honest dialogue, and reflection to strengthen safeguarding and to promote IRC values and adherence to IRC policies.
  • Other duties as required.

Community Engagement

  • Work with team members to utilize referral systems for participants to access outside services.
  • Work with volunteer coordinator to establish volunteer opportunities related to case management.
  • Ensure team is effectively using and managing interns and volunteers.
  • Represent team in internal and external meetings, as necessary.

Compliance & Administration

  • Ensure that programs comply with all contractual, reporting, and match requirements.
  • Ensure quality data collection across all programs; oversee the production of reports and impact data to provide insight to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure donor-mandated match requirements are accurately tracked and achieved.
  • Represent assigned programs with IRC HQ. Ensure compliance with HQ initiatives and guidance.

Key Working Relationships:

Position Reports to: Anti-Trafficking Manager

Position directly supervises: Anti-Trafficking Caseworkers and Anti-Trafficking Outreach & Training Specialist

Indirect Reporting: Senior Protection and Wellness Manager

Other Internal and/or external contacts:

Internal: The Anti-Trafficking Coordinator will work as a member of the Protection & Wellness division leadership team. This position will collaborate closely with other staff members to ensure comprehensive case management for all clients. This position will also develop working relationships with HOPE Program Training and Outreach staff to support the achievement of program goals.

External: The Anti-Trafficking Coordinator will develop working relationships with both law enforcement partners and community service providers in order to promote client referrals and improve client access to services. This includes, but is not limited to, health providers, benefits access, housing services, legal services, mental health services, and law enforcement.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Undergraduate degree preferred with an emphasis in Social Work, Psychology, or an equivalent field of study; equivalent work experience may be substituted.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience, including 2 years’ experience providing direct services related to immigrant and youth populations.
  • Prior experience leading teams, providing staff supervision and oversight.
  • Prior grants experience, familiarity with budget development and tracking.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong commitment to ensuring the success of the IRC mission while adhering to the values of service, accountability, integrity, and equality as defined in the IRC Way.
  • Ability to handle complex and sensitive cases and to work effectively with clients who have a wide range of psychosocial, protection, health, immigration, and criminal justice issues.
  • Well organized, self-directed, and highly motivated; ability to communicate and work effectively with collaborative partners, the community, and clients in a cross-cultural, multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Fluency in English required; Spanish speaking preferred.
  • Bilingual and culturally sensitive skills, particularly relevant to underserved communities, preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and internet research.

Working Environment:

  • Standard office environment.
  • Hybrid work schedule in office 3 days per week.
  • Travel in and around the service delivery area required.

Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements
