What You’ll Be Doing
CIBC is currently going through the modernization journey of it wire payments platform which will replace the legacy platform to a new platform. As a Production Support Consultant, you will join CIBC’s Global Wires and Payments Technology department to provide application production support for a Tier 1 – Critical application which processes multi billion high value payments transactions. Apart from this you will also involve in managing the currency, capacity and refresh of both the application and associated software version to ensure the application stays compliant with various industry standards.

How You’ll Succeed
Application Analysis & Support: Identify and resolve production issues for a Tier 1 – Critical application in a timely manner. Monitor and analyze supported services to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions. Provide required support to business on various application related activities.
Design and Development: Perform and coordinate application programming activities related to BAU changes. Design the application’s technical infrastructure using specific databases, programming languages, utilities, and testing approaches. Lead the design and development of cost-effective and innovative solutions.
Strategic planning – Ensure effective participation in the multi-year technology roadmaps that align with the bank’s vision, strategy, and business goals.
Who You Are
You should have 7+ years of overall IT experience
5+ years of 24/7 production support experience
Strong technical knowledge on Redhat Linux, IBM MQ/Kafka, SQL/Oracle DB concept
Strong understating on Web technologies like Java, Springboot, Node JS etc.
Strong knowledge on Microservice (Redhat Openshift, Kubernetes, Docker) architecture and containerization platform
Knowledge on File Transfer software and scheduling software like Autosys
Knowledge on DevOps, CI/CD pipeline deployment using Jenkins, Artifactory, Github Actions
Should have experience in handling production support for Tier 1 or Tier 1 Critical application. Preferable in banking domain applications. Very strong knowledge of incident, problem and change management process
Nice to have exposure to Infrastructure components ( Firewall, DNS etc.)
Knowledge on SWIFT related products (SAG, AWP, AMH, etc.) is added advantage
Understanding of Citrix platform on a high level is preferred
Willing to take up 24/7 production support on a rotational basis.
Gather information independently, carry out necessary research and provide in-depth analysis, solutions and resolve the production issues with in the strict SLAs.
Provide and implement permanent solutions to recurring issues in production. Address business users queries and issues depending on Severity and Scope with in SLAs
Willing to work on Infrastructure upgrade activities and support the verification for Infrastructure implementations.
Very good understanding of both SDLC and Agile delivery model
Experience in delivering CCR (Currency, Capacity and Refresh) projects (Infrastructure and application version upgrade) is a plus
Knowledge on security and resiliency requirements from both infrastructure and application perspective
Should have experience is handling DR exercise
Strong understanding on various application and regulatory audit processes. Knowledge in Payment space (SWIFT) is an added advantage.
