We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Apprentice Level 2 Learning Support Assistant who will work well as part of a team who truly want the best from our students. • National Apprenticeship wage (currently £6.40 per hour)
• 37 Hours per week, Term Time Only (39 weeks per annum)
• Fixed term – 16 months

Due to our increasing PAN and student numbers, we are excited to offer the opportunity to join our academy as our staff body continues to grow and support our larger year groups of 220 students. The successful candidate will join an academy which is dynamic and inspiring, creating a culture of outstanding success amongst our students. As a key member of the team, you will work with children to assist with the development of communication, reading and writing skills, basic educational skills and general curriculum activities as directed by the teacher or SENDCO. The ideal candidate will have a good academic standard of general education to GCSE grade C/4 in English and Maths and will undertake a Level 2/3 qualification as part of the role, providing support to students with special needs within the care of the Teaching Assistant to enable them to gain maximum benefit from the curriculum, integrate with other students and adjust to and cope with the day-to-day experiences of life in a secondary academy. The department is part of a well led, mutually supportive Learning Support team; there is a very strong commitment to improving standards.
