You will provide assistance to the Veterinary Team in the examination and treatment of animals as well as educating clients in pet well-being and preventative care.We provide a uniquely supportive apprenticeship environment including;College place to study Level 2 Diploma in Veterinary Care Support with the College of Animal WelfareSupport for 20% of your time to be off rota and dedicated to your apprenticeship studiesSupport of a Clinical Coach on site at the Pet HospitalOur aim is for you to develop the skills and competencies you need to choose the best career path for you at PDSA. This could range from developing your clinical skills as an experienced Vet Nurse to moving in to a leadership role.About YouThere are no formal academic entry requirements. However, you will need to be committed to the level of study required to gain this qualification and resilient in the face of any setbacks.To complete this apprenticeship within the anticipated timeframe you will need to be working for a minimum of 30 hours per week, if you are working less than 30 hours a week the length of your apprenticeship will be extended depending on your working hours.If you have a level 2 (or above) qualification in a similar subject you may not be able to undertake this apprenticeship, this is dependent on the qualification and is assessed on a case by case basis.About the benefitsWe are really passionate about being a great place to work, where people feel connected with what we do and where they feel they can make a genuine difference.
