If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!At Simply Education, we are currently seeking a dedicated Art Teacher to join an SEN school in Cheshire. As an Art Teacher in this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality education to students with special educational needs.Our students have some social, emotional, and mental health needs as well as moderate learning needs which means that they may display some challenging behaviour at times. However, we pride ourselves on creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing learning environment where students have the support and security to explore their learning and mindset.As an Art Teacher, you will work closely with the school senior leadership to ensure high quality lessons are planned and delivered whilst considering all students arising needs. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of supporting students with additional needs and be able to form positive relationships and communicate effectively as part of a team and with students.We are looking for an outstanding Art Teacher who is passionate about education and their subject. You must have a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of our students. If you have experience working with young people with additional needs and are committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, we would love to hear from you.Key Responsibilities:-Deliver Engaging Art Lessons: Plan and deliver dynamic and engaging lessons, with a focus on developing skills and experimenting with a range of medias whilst tailoring to the needs of SEN students.-Differentiated Instruction: Adapt your teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and abilities, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to succeed.-Individualized Support: Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to provide one-on-one and small group support to students who require additional assistance.-Inclusive Education: Promote an inclusive classroom environment that fosters a sense of belonging and encourages the development of social and academic skills.-Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to help them achieve their learning goals.-Collaborative Approach: Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure that a consistent approach is maintained.Requirements:-Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.-Experience working with students with special educational needs is highly desirable.-Knowledge and passion for Art-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.-The ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.The key benefits for working with Simply Education are:-Your own dedicated consultant who will support, advise, and guide you through the registration process.-24/7 access to your dedicated consultant via phone/text/email – That can answer any arising questions or needs.-Exclusive access to our Educational Development Managers – We offer several SEND courses such as Autism Awareness, De-escalation Practices, An introduction to the role of a Teaching Assistant and Behaviour management.
