The aspen populations in the Cairngorms National Park’s are among its most valuable wildlife. This Aspen Project Officer will take the lead in developing an aspen network in the Park area to boost the connectivity, continuity and resilience of aspen and enhance the habitat
conditions for a suite of priority wildlife associated with this distinctive tree species. The Project Officer will survey and map the current aspen resource, produce a strategy to secure a
resilient population for the future and engage land managers, volunteers and other stakeholders to raise awareness and deliver practical action on the ground.
