Job Description:Grade UE06: £33,882 to £39,105 per annumEdinburgh Medical School / Medical Education / CMVMFull time: 35 hours per weekFixed Term: for 14 monthsThe Opportunity:Medical Education invites applications for an Assessment Coordinator to support the delivery of the exams and assessments on the undergraduate MBChB programme for new doctors. The post holder will be work with the Assessment Manager to ensure that all exams run on-time and including supporting students with additional learning needs.This post full-time (35 hours per week). It is fully on campus and is unable to support hybrid or remote working. Please also note that the successful candidate will be required to work in the presence of medical cadavers for some examinations.Your skills and attributes for success:

It was created in 2017 following the integration of the organisation and academic development of the MBChB curriculum, following the launch of the six year MBChB programme. Medical Education works in partnership with academic and NHS staff, educational technologists, and administrative colleagues to ensure our undergraduate medical programme meets the standards laid down by the General Medical Council and the Quality Assurance Agency, and goes beyond these requirements to deliver a world-class education. Core activities include curriculum development, faculty development and educational research as well as meeting the highest standards for delivery of the curriculum and improvement to the student experience. In addition the postgraduate Masters in clinical education and international consultancy and projects contribute to excellence in clinical education locally and beyond.
