Certification is the UK’s leading sustainability certification body, offering a range of best-in-class organic and sustainable certification schemes across food, farming and forestry.
We operate in over 70 countries, managing thousands of clients across supply chain networks covering organic food, farming, beauty and textiles to sustainable forestry and high-integrity carbon schemes in emerging nature markets.
Our people are highly skilled ranging from auditors and inspectors to technical, commercial and marketing experts. We have ambitious growth targets and work to deliver excellence for all clients in the UK and beyond.
The Soil Association Certification Nature Markets Department is recruiting an Assessment Manager to lead the delivery for Nature-Based Solution (NbS) projects, primarily Woodland Carbon Code and Peatland Code, but also onboarding new programmes, ensuring rigorous adherence to assessment standards and protocols.
The role will be the key liaison between the organisation, standard bodies, and our internal and external assessors, facilitating smooth communication and addressing any issues alongside collaboration with the Technical and Operations Managers to oversee consistency and performance in the schemes.
You will be able to demonstrate strong knowledge of Forestry/Woodland Management/Peatland Management and extensive experience in assessment delivery against Nature-Based Solutions or environmental standards. You will have the skills to communicate and build relationships with a wide-range of stakeholders and coordinate and review the work of others including contractors. GIS skills and knowledge would be an asset.
