Assistant/Associate Professor-David Brand Professorship in Sustainable Forestry&Conservation Finance

The Department of Forest Resources Management in the Faculty of Forestry at the University of British Columbia (UBC)-Vancouver Campus is looking to fill the newly-created David Brand professorship in Sustainable Forestry and Conservation Finance. This is a tenure-stream position and will either be at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, depending on the qualifications of the successful applicant. The successful applicant will be expected to play a key role in research and teaching in the area of conservation finance and its increasing importance in advancing new ways to sustainably manage and restore forest ecosystems, including recognizing the role of Indigenous peoples in managing their traditional lands and territories.

Candidates for this position must have a PhD in environmental, forest or natural resource finance/business, or equivalent fields, and experience or familiarity with sustainable forestry.
