Description
We are providing an avenue for an Assistant Controller to be a part of our clients team in the manufacturing industry, stationed in the Grand Blanc Michigan area. The role entails managing daily accounting functions, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, and providing financial reports.
Responsibilities:
• Take charge of and provide support for daily accounting operations.
• Administer both the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Generate monthly financial reports inclusive of variance analysis and PPV reporting, along with monthly reconciliations.
• Engage in cash management activities in sync with corporate financial leadership.
• Provide financial advice and reviews to the finance team and champion cost-saving initiatives.
• Participate actively in maintaining financial compliance regulations and develop training, financial controls, and operating procedures.
• Collaborate in the annual business plan development through a process involving all aspects of the business.
• Ensure the provision of financial reports to local and corporate management as required.
• Maintain the legality and ethicality of all financial policies, procedures, and activities, reporting any discrepancies to management promptly.
• Execute other duties as required by management.
Requirements
• Bachelors degree in accounting of finance preferred along with a minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role as an Assistant Controller, senior accountant or in the field of financial management.
• Manufacturing industry experience along with Month End Close procedures.
• Experience in Financial Statement Preparation is mandatory.
• Must possess skills in managing Accounts Payable (AP) operations.
• Expertise in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.
