You will work as part of the SCQT leadership team, alongside its Director, Professor Winfried Hensinger, to ensure the smooth running of the Centre and will have operational responsibility for all day-to- day non-academic activities; this includes working in collaboration with other Professional Services colleagues to ensure the Centre aims and visions are met.Along with the Operational side, you will also need to have excellent Technical Copywriting skills, as you will support the Centre with authoring, grants outreach materials and other documents. The successful candidate will be independent, enthusiastic, resilient, and profoundly committed to the success of the Centre.You will be bold and dynamic, with excellent inter-personal skills and lead and problem solve within the execution of a diversity of projects of the centre and effectively coordinate with different university stakeholders. Quantum technologies will provide disruptive capabilities for numerous applications across a range of sectors. Our specialised facilities and expertise are unique and have given rise to many world firsts. The SCQT is a Centre of Excellence. At SCQT our research groups work together with leading industry partners in carrying out and commercializing our groundbreaking research. The centre provides authentic quantum technology training for a wide range of stakeholders including industry short courses, a four-year undergraduate degree in quantum technologies, our pioneering Quantum Technologies MSc. and a four-year doctoral training programme. The centre has given rise to several world-leading achievements and records. We run the largest number of ion trapping experiments in the UK, we are one of the largest ion trapping centres in the world!
